Hello everyone!
My name is Ingmar and I love music. Nothing electrifies me more than bringing stories to life through music and I am always looking for creative minds to connect with. This website offers a small sample of my best work and what our collaborations could sound like.
A little about me…
I moved from Brazil to Los Angeles in 2014 to attend the Musician’s Institute Independent Artist Program, a degree focused on songwriting and producing. It was an amazing experience that helped me polish my skills to navigate the contemporary music landscape. While there, I was awarded 2015’s Musicianship Scholarship and 2016’s Outstanding Student Award.
In 2017, I continued my studies at California State University, Northridge, where I pursued a degree in Media Composition. The program offered me real-life experience working with large ensembles of orchestral music and helped expand my musical vocabulary to the worlds of jazz and classical. In 2018, I was the recipient of the R.I.S.E. Award for Academic Excellence and graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2021.
After graduating, I’ve had the privilege of assisting composer Allyson Newman and her creative partner Heather McIntosh, as they worked on a new season of the hit show The L Word: Generation Q. Getting a close look at the inner workings of a massive network show has broadened my range and refined my ability to administer big budget projects.
As for the future, my fundamental priority is collaborating with other creative minds, so we can tell great stories together. With my passion and expertise, I can take your project to the next level. I look forward to us connecting!
